Crafting a bow

A bow is a ranged weapon made from sticks and string. Sticks come from breaking leaves or from crafting planks, and string usually comes from spiders or cobwebs. Arrange three sticks and three strings in the crafting grid in a curved pattern, with the strings forming the outside curve.

Once you have a bow, you need arrows. Arrows are made from a flint, a stick and a feather, and they can also be found in chests or from certain mobs.

Using it well

Draw the bow by holding right click, and release when the bar is full for the strongest shot. Shooting at a distance takes practice because arrows drop over time. Practice on a training target before a hard fight.

Enchantments such as Power and Punch can improve a bow, and Infinity lets you fire without using arrows in many cases. Check the enchantment list before you commit a valuable item.
