How do you get chlorophyte ore in Terraria?
Where to Find Chlorophyte
Chlorophyte ore generates in the Underground Jungle biome once you enter Hardmode. It appears as green, glowing blocks embedded in mud and stone.
It only spawns in areas with mud blocks, so you'll need to explore the Jungle's depths. The ore spreads slowly over time to nearby mud blocks, so you can farm it by creating a mud platform in the Jungle.
To mine it, you need a Pickaxe Axe, Drax, or any pickaxe with at least 200% pickaxe power. The Pickaxe Axe is crafted from Hallowed Bars and souls of might, sight, and fright.
- Found in Underground Jungle in Hardmode.
- Requires Pickaxe Axe or better to mine.
- Spreads to nearby mud blocks over time.
- Can be farmed by placing mud in Jungle and waiting.
Farming and Uses
To farm chlorophyte efficiently, create a large area of mud blocks in the Underground Jungle and wait for the ore to spread. You can speed this up by using a Clentaminator with Green Solution, but that's expensive.
Chlorophyte is used to craft powerful Hardmode gear like Chlorophyte armor, weapons, and tools. It's also used to make Shroomite Bars when combined with Glowing Mushrooms.
Another source is the Chlorophyte Extractinator, which converts silt, slush, and desert fossils into chlorophyte ore, but it's rare and found in the Underground Desert.
- Craft Chlorophyte Bars at an Adamantite/Titanium Forge.
- Used for armor, weapons, and Shroomite Bars.
- Chlorophyte Extractinator converts silt to ore.
- Plantera drops 15-30 chlorophyte ore when defeated.
Common mistakes
- Chlorophyte does not spawn in pre-Hardmode; you must defeat Wall of Flesh first.
- You cannot mine it with a lower-tier pickaxe like Molten Pickaxe; it requires 200% pickaxe power.
- Chlorophyte only spreads to mud, not stone or dirt, so farming requires mud blocks.
