How do you get the terra blade in Terraria?
Crafting the Terra Blade
To craft the Terra Blade, you need to combine the True Night's Edge and True Excalibur at a Mythril or Orichalcum Anvil. This is a Hardmode recipe.
The True Night's Edge is crafted from the Night's Edge and a Broken Hero Sword. The True Excalibur is crafted from Excalibur and a Broken Hero Sword.
Broken Hero Swords drop from enemies during the Solar Eclipse event in Hardmode, specifically from Mothron, Frankenstein, and Swamp Thing. Mothron has the highest drop rate.
- Craft True Night's Edge: Night's Edge + Broken Hero Sword.
- Craft True Excalibur: Excalibur + Broken Hero Sword.
- Combine both at Mythril/Orichalcum Anvil.
- Broken Hero Swords drop during Solar Eclipse.
Steps to Get the Components
First, craft the Night's Edge by combining Light's Bane or Blood Butcherer, Muramasa, Blade of Grass, and Fiery Greatsword at a Demon Altar or Crimson Altar.
Craft Excalibur by combining 12 Hallowed Bars at a Mythril Anvil. Hallowed Bars drop from mechanical bosses.
Next, wait for a Solar Eclipse. You can summon it using a Solar Tablet, which is crafted from 8 Solar Tablet Fragments dropped by Lihzahrd enemies in the Jungle Temple. Then farm Mothron for Broken Hero Swords.
Finally, combine the true swords at a Mythril Anvil to get the Terra Blade.
- Night's Edge: Light's Bane/Blood Butcherer + Muramasa + Blade of Grass + Fiery Greatsword.
- Excalibur: 12 Hallowed Bars at Mythril Anvil.
- Solar Tablet: 8 Solar Tablet Fragments from Lihzahrds.
- Farm Mothron for Broken Hero Swords.
Common mistakes
- You cannot craft the Terra Blade directly; you must craft the True Night's Edge and True Excalibur first.
- Broken Hero Swords only drop during Solar Eclipse, not from any enemy at any time.
- The Terra Blade is not dropped by any boss; it must be crafted.
